If Abel was so important to you then why did you leave him alone? These side characters are so stupid it borders on bad writing. Good side characters are what change a story from mediocre to fantastic and the more they show the side characters stupidity in this story the more mediocre it feels.

This author just really loves pretending that rape is somehow a valid punishment. And there's a lot of people in the comments that are very young and think that rape is somehow a valid punishment.
It's not. No one should ever be raped, no one ever deserves to be raped. When I say no one I mean absolutely no one. Rapists don't deserve to be raped. Pedophiles don't deserve to be raped. Rape is not a punishment. Torture is never acceptable. Adding more harm and trauma into the world just creates more harm and trauma. You can't forget that the people who would be doling out this rape as a punishment would also be rapists, who's going to rape them for their punishment? It's a never-ending cycle of harm.
People do horrible things should be locked away so they can't hurt other people. They shouldn't be hurt back because somebody has to do the hurting.

I was really intrigued by the setting and the ML's weird condition but the author is doing absolutely no world building. It's just rape. I'm not sensitive and complaining that the rape is terrible, don't get me wrong. It's just there's nothing else happening. Every potential plot point is just another rape. There's nothing else to it.
The story feels shallow and I expected more from this author. Hogu Hagyeongsu was incredibly dark and had a lot of rape but also had a lot of character development and good pacing that kept you interested. It was so much more than this even though it was just a regular setting. This has a crazy setting but nothing else.
All her stories are like this. Truly disappointing. There was probably 1-2 which didn't have this rape fetish going on. But those stories also had weird turns like (incest kinda thing)
It's not the rape or the weirdness that I have a problem with... It's the lack of anything else. I think that exploring trauma through fiction is very interesting and I like reading darker stories. I love dogs blood, lol. But if I just wanted to read some straight up porn I'd be on my reading manga.

To a certain extent, the extreme violence can be justified because of the story’s setting, but the issue here is that the author is not doing anything with the plot. It’s like they’re putting all their eggs in the sexual violence basket and forgot that there needs to be some kind of plot to explain the violence.
Season 2 stated with the protagonists at a disadvantage and we see MC trying to do something about it even while in the middle of his assault. He’s unsuccessful, but that could have been an interesting plot point to explore. Like ok, what now? How can I play this guy to get away from this hellhole? Something.
I seriously thought season 2 would be more plot heavy because when it does hit on a plot point, it’s interesting, but just focusing on the atrocities gets boring.
