Girl… that’s how emotional impact and storytelling work. The whole reason people even care about Fabian and K is because we saw them guide, connect, and struggle. Why should Jerome get treated like a summary in a footnote?? And yeah, this flashback is long that's because it matters. It’s not filler??

sex scenes don't add any emotional impact neither does it impact the storytelling to me especially when it's of a relationship that no longer exists in the present whether or not the author shows it explicitly it doesn't change how i view jerome or his past relationship with k. i never said he didn't deserve his part in the manhwa that would actually make no sense considering k's past greatly affects his current relationship with fabian and i also never said it's a filler i'm saying the sex scenes are irrelevant when the author haa already established a present couple there was no visual need to witness them having intercourse with this much details while guiding should've been the focus it just shows that the author is trying to please a certain audience (basically smut enjoyers, no judgement to them of course) which i personally find irrelevant to the story as someone who's highly engaged in the plot rather than what relationships entail from physical bond

You say the scenes are irrelevant to you, but that doesn’t make them irrelevant to the storytelling. Emotional bonds in Guideverse are physical by nature, guiding isn’t just hand-holding, it’s a whole intimate process. Skipping over that would flatten K and Jerome’s entire connection and let’s not pretend showing intimacy = smut bait. The same logic would make Fabian and K’s guiding scenes “irrelevant” too but no one complained then because it was your preferred ship. The story isn’t tailored to what you already understand. it’s built for full immersion, and showing the weight of K’s past is part of that.

i'm sorry for the vulgar description but what emotional relevance does seeing jerome's dick up k's ass while they're both coated in cum add to the story? the intimacy in guiding you're referring to could be restricted to the act itself without explicitly spanning it over 2 chaps especially after focusing on an established relationship which is a turn off to many readers i would've personally been okay with this if this was a separate season dedicated for k's past which would've made more sense or at the beginning of the story even and proof is i missed nothing plot wise after i skipped the jerome x k smut chapters... you can't expect readers to enjoy seeing that at chap 40 when you're already emotionally biased by rooting for the main couple and i understand that you're arguing abt the relevance considering you're emotionally invested in the mc's former relationship (while i'm not bc the current and obv future relationship is my focus) and truthfully even fabian and k's intimate scenes are of less relevance compared to other events i would be bummed if i keep seeing them having sex every here and there instead of proceeding with the story which i'm pretty glad about bc the author luckily isn't doing that lol of course this is my personal take and you have your own and i respect that :)

If you skipped the chapters, then respectfully, you have no clue what narrative weight or emotional layering was actually in them. You're not judging the content, you’re judging your assumption of it. That’s not critique, that’s projection.You keep saying “the guiding could’ve been less explicit,” but in a world where guiding is literal physical intimacy, showing the depth and weight of K and Jerome’s past means showing it. Not hiding it in dialogue or vague silhouettes to preserve your shipping comfort zone. no one's forcing you to like Jerome. But pretending the scenes exist only for smut when they clearly explore attachment and K’s emotional unraveling is just lazy reading. You don’t have to care, but don’t downplay what others clearly understood just because you skipped it.
