this has been dragging on for episodes, with little to no payoff so much so im pullling out whatever remaining hair i have from reading this. what about jaekyungs backstory? What got him into MMA? Why does he have a jinx? What about that one guy who faced him off and caused a draw, dethroning him?every chapter lately starts the same with joo jaekyung thinking about whatever kim dan said about him like using his body (which is true, jaekyung literally admits to this in chapter 65?) and getting mad at the fact that someones standing up to him and it ends with him having sex with kim dan at night because kim dan "asked" for it, with whatever pathetic attempt of a plot shoved between these two events. Is jaekung actually stupid? He is capable of showing some empathy by hanging out with kim dans grandma but I think thats only the case so that minghwa can say look i know hes an asshole, but hes not a completely unredemeable asshole? As someone who read BJ Alex, I knew it followed the same plot beats( bottom fucking up massively, top yelling and ending any arrangement they had), but holy shit the jealousy arc never appears because jaekyung never lets kim dan out of his sight(Sure for medical reasons, or his jinx) but doesnt know why he does the things he did.
I remember being so excited when season 1 ended because i expected plot, but this manhwa in season 2 desperately tries to have both smut and plot but fails to execute either. I cant goon to this manhwa because they got me emtionally invested in the charecters and I cant focus on the plot because theres too many sex scenes that derail my attention.(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Perfectly said. I couldn't agree more the fact that there's no depth to the characters especially Jaekyung. I'm not asking for his backstory to excuse him of his shitty personality but I feel so disconnected with him especially when I don't know his background.
