the punishment she gave to the MC was actually very generous. the mc was stupid to remove the ladys corset like that because not only does it taints the lady's reputation with getting "molested" by a new worker but the empresses reputation as well for hiring someone who molests another worker on their first day. the lady wouldn't have died, she just fainted, the mc could've easily ran and look for someone for help. The empress lost her respect when the mc did that stupid shit on the first day in the castle, why would she want to hire someone like that? but she still gave the MC a chance to earn her respect back. I honestly dont get how she is a bitch? she works hard for her kingdom, only getting 2 hours a sleep, makes new laws so that the dukes dont live lavishly without anywork and just eating up the taxes. she looks after her people, she listens to both sides during a situation. Shes an empress, she isnt just gonna ass kiss to random people, she has to be strict.

Ah I really wish he wouldn't have loosened her corset so she would've died then. Did ypu not see that the lady say that he saved her life?
