yea I thought this too, plus add on the fact he realized he was in love/crushing on Shion when they were 17 and 12 respectively. He's prolly subconsciously still Remembering themselves/Shion as way further apart in age + maturity than they are now at 25 and 20.

Something insidious is happening to him. At the very least, I think he's being bullied. At worst I think those other kids are making him do sexual favours for them.
I swear if it turns out to be another fucking teenage prostitution/sexual assault plot I'm going to be so mad. I'm so sick of seeing this plotline in BL manga.
