Why if it's a straight story, it doesn't matter if the romance only appears after 3 or 4 books. Some manga actually have dozens of books before the romance appears. But if BL, only one book in, and you're already labeling it queerbaiting.
The novelist wants to write a story with a plot, that's all. They didn't want to baiting you, queers people, fujoshis or other, they just want to write what the want.

One thing I always said about this novel.... I never understood where the love between andrim and Jorga cames from. And I never knew where the love between his son and Malachi came from either. Heck. Julietta and jorga son love also kind of came out of nowhere.
I only here to enjoy the gaslighting.

Honestly, it really just boiled down to, "Oh wow you’re so nice I can’t help but fall in love with you" with both Jorga and Lytro and their respective LIs. It’s a clever story, but if someone is looking for a well written romance, this isn’t the manga I’d recommend.
