Just because u have the power to make sexy things happen or whatever doesn’t mean that your actions don’t have consequences, that drunk CEO dude was still experiencing all of this uncontrollable nightmare public humiliation in real time. I have pretty low standards when it comes to smut but I’m uncomfortable with this…
I think that ML doesn’t understand his own feelings and is telling himself that he wants to keep her close to crush her or whatever but in reality he just can’t let her get away + just making up excuses to justify to himself and grandpappy why he has to keep her close
That’s just my guess on where the author is going with this

Not saying that the old lady is right, but I see where she’s coming from I think. I think that it’s clear that the old lady cares for him and does want him to improve but is just taking baby steps. While I can see why FL is trying to push his improvements asap to reach their goal within the 3 month time limit, i think that FL should provide some more hand over hand support + scaffolding to produce the result they want. If someone has never used a fork before, they most likely aren’t going to have the fine motor skills or hand-eye coordination to just do it with little or no support.
I also feel that FL could’ve been more kind/cooperative/collaborative in justifying/relaying her teaching approach to the old lady. I get that FL is technically her boss, but if some new young person came all up in my work place and critiqued the way I was handling my job without trying to understand my strategies or at least being polite about it or acknowledging my effort/experience, tbh they would catch these hands too.
