Mafuyu and Ue will just have to deal with the fact that Mafu will never ever get over Yuki 100% and that's alright. It doesn't make Mafu selfish or unfair towards Ue, it's a death of a lover through suicide. He will carry that his whole life because Mafuyu and Yuki truly belonged with each other and the amount of history and their love even makes that gaping hole in Mafuyu's heart more persistent. There will never ever be a closure. Sadly. Don't ask me how I know. God damn it, even their namea are indicative that they were so significant to each other's existence. Tough.

Man thank god, I see quite a few comments bashing Mafu. Mafu's whole world was Yuuki and to Yuuki he was his. They really were soul mates, the wound in his heart will truly never disappear. Yuuki will always live as a memory, night mare or a dream thru Mafu. And it's ok because this story is not meant to be a perfect one

I’m sorry but it really is unfair to Uenoyama. IRL if you rush into a new relationship w/o being fully over your ex yet, it definitely leads to an unhealthy relationship and it’s extremely unfair to your new lover. It’s not Mafuyu’s fault that he can’t get over Yuki’s suicide, we all get that Yuki was his ride or die, his “soulmate” and there will always be a part of Mafuyu that will love Yuki forever but it bothers so many of us that he got into a relationship with Uenoyama when his heart clearly wasn’t ready yet. Mafuyu’s story isn’t unique, there are real people out there who lose their wives/husbands/children every day to suicide but they do heal from it and may even find love again someday and that’s amazing. All we’re asking for is that Mafuyu takes time to heal first before he jumps into a new relationship - for his own sake and for Uenoyama’s.

I understand where you gius are coming from. However, humans are complex and with that comes complex emptions and relationships. There's a cliché saying that there are no humans that are 100% alike, may it be in real life or in fiction since art is reflection of real life. That being said there's no human in this world that should judge or dictate how a person handles their grief. Yes, he's not the only one who went through, is going through, and will go through this kind of tragedy but again who are we to judge and dictate how people like them will handle their grief. Aren't we just bystanders since we are not dirdclty involved in the relationship? Besides, aren't you guys underestimating Ue too much? If he already knows the story behind Yuki and Mafu though not yet in full detail maybe, isn't it his prerogative if he should stay or not with Mafu? Same goes in real life. We have to realize that not everything in life is black and white. It's wishful thinking to think that it's that easy in life. We're complex beings thus our circumstances also are and it is reflected on our arts like literature. Thank you for your input though. I appreciate it.

You know what, everything you said is true but there really is no reason to rush into a new relationship when you’re not over your last one. You don’t have to date right away, you can always ask the person to wait until you’re heart is in a better state. I don’t believe in soulmates IRL (just in fiction) but I do believe that there is a right time for love. That right time happens when your heart and mind are in a better state and ofc no love is perfect or easy but being in a good state of mind for love helps us treat our partners better and love them better. Sure, we have absolutely no say in what these characters choose to do with their lives, how and who they choose to love, or even how they choose to heal since we’re not them. And yes Uenoyama knows what he was getting himself into by dating Mafuyu. It’s us readers who feel frustrated over Uenoyama’s choices and Mafuyu’s too but as readers, I know our feelings are valid and there’s nothing wrong with using the comment section as our outlet. Also, thank you bc your comment really made me think about the complexity of love and being human. :)

I'm thinking I might drop reading this webtoon. Don't get me wrong, the art is very beautiful and I really love this story as it triggered an obsession for me to read the novel in one seating. However, I don't think the webtoon is capturing and portraying the complexities of the characters and the relationships in the novel. I understand that it is due to the limited space for comics just like my dilemma when watching a movie adapted from a novel I've read. The adaptation always leaves me unsatisfied. I'll give it a few more chapters.

It's so freaking sad. Unless it's a type of poly relationship there will always be someone who will get hurt in the end.

Oops sorry I would also like to add, poly relationships doesn't necessarily mean couples have sex all at the same time. I mean they can if they want to but not necessarily, so if you're implication of Alabama pertains to incest, which I think is what you mean, it's not applicable all of the time. Hope I cleared that one out.

It was actually good in my opinion. There were lots of funny moments in this story that I totally appreciate. Of course the smutty scenes are there almost evwry chapter but I ain't complaining. I just feel so bad for Amane though. His heart was in the right place right from the start with Shii. They just didn't communicae properly. I actually liked his character so much that I would've loved it more if he ended up with Shii. It's not that Usami is bad it's just that Amane was just better in my eyes. I also wish the author played more with the amnesia angle and introduced it as the main conflict earlier in the story so the ending would've not been rushed. Anyway, I wish they would've been unconventional and just went for a polyandrous relarionship. Now that would've been totally exciting.

Ikr Amane and Shii’s backstory had so much depth into it. He comes back to her to repay for what he did and tries to make up for his mistakes. Although I really like Amane and was pretty sad at his final part (where he walked away crying), i ain’t complaining bout the other two. All the characters are likeable imo. No matter how much I like Amane, the relationship build up between them were too precious so I’d still pick Usa x Shii over Amane.
Tbh i would still be happy if Shii ended up with Amane, if only there’d been more screen time for him then yeah
Hwi + Param = Hwiparam or whistle? Is that right?
that's actually really cool and proves everyone that they are the real deal
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Right? If that's right then the author was really witty. I like witty.
