I read the novel a few months ago. Iirc, the bottom got angry at the top for using him and sending him as a “gift” to the top’s brother—who ended up graping him in the amidst of the confusion. (It was a misunderstanding though; the top didn’t intend for that to happen.)
Right after the flashback, the bottom kept asking the top why he would give him up to his brother. Top tried to explain but bottom was too angry to hear it. Eventually, bottom moved out and started living his own life—working at the company and continuing his perfume hobby. But he couldn’t forget the top, since they were imprinted. So, in the end, he went back to him.
That’s about all I remember, I can go into deeper details about the whole misunderstanding part but this is just a tldr version.
Also, an important detail I forgot to mention—the top got angry at the bottom in their first life for sleeping with his brother and ended up assaulting him as well. (Again, it was all a misunderstanding on the top’s part regarding the whole “gift” and brother situation.)
Later, the bottom finds out he’s pregnant but doesn’t know who the father is. Feeling completely disgusted and used, that’s what drove him to use the pistol in the top’s study to commit sodoku.
