I don't understand why the heck people are fighting over who's better or worse when this chapter cleared up how both Penelope and Eclise were pretty twisted in their approaches. Eclise manipulated her into thinking that he was a loyal dog, knowing she has some objective to gain by having his affection. That's some twisted shit right there. If either one of them was even a bit honest it wouldn't have ended up being so toxic.
P.S: Calisto and Penelope's relationship is so much better than others because they could be honest with each other (for the most part).
Both were pretty stupid. I get that from Akanishi's pov he just wanted Ryo to realize that he liked him in that way and that's why he lied. It wasn't his intention to drive Ryo to the edge. They never shared their fears or any kind of feelings honestly after all. But man, Ryo gave up and spiraled downwards right away. It's obvious to us that he was depressed before and that was the last push, but unfortunately Akanishi couldn't detect that.
It's a good thing that Akanishi had a good friend who could push him in the right direction. (▰˘◡˘▰)

Damn, first time seeing teeth like that (especially in manga). Such a cute detail ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
