This story is originally in Korea. In Korea, there are names that are very common like Park, Kim, or Jang. Unlike in the west, just because you have the same last name, does not mean you are related(this is also true in Japan). But you could still be related if you have the same last name(but in this case they are not).

yeah there was a bit of confusion over last names as jaspers last name as a child and when hes olde is different for some readon im not sure why its not a translation problem like its apart of the plot but im not quite sure why it is or what it means
