Each to their own but I had a same situation with my mom. It doesn't excuse what she did but I tried putting myself in her situation, its hard. I told her I can't forgive her yet but it really made me cry that I finally had an answer why she did it to me and my therapy sessions are getting easier with that. I haven't forgave her yet but we are working towards that.....
