DAMN The situation with her ex was a LOT more complicated than I thought. I thought there was something odd with his comment when we find out later on that he did love her so much, just not romantically. He's aromantic!! It's obviously still not right to not have mentioned that to Yumin at any point but I can understand him a lot more especially the difficulties with his own struggles with his identity.. Anyway, Hyun-do is THE most husband-core ML ive ever seen like goddamn I'm rooting for them so hard!!
LOOOL I just saw.... Don't get me wrong I don't think they should get back together, it's not fair on her to be in a relationship where her romantic love is never reciprocated!! It's also not fair to have lied about being in love with her when he clearly wasn't, although I am aware he still loved her platonically. I think what it comes down to for me is this is a lot more complicated than something you'd usually find in a romance story lol like it's too real?? I can't really hate anyone for their actions personally but it's also completely valid to be upset by what he did! I'm just very impressed by the writing and depth that's gone into all the characters, especially the ex. Ex's in these types of stories are usually so comedically horrible that it's not fun to read so this is a nice change of pace ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
UGH I've ruminated on this a bit more and it's making me mad!!
I really really loved Eunhyeok in season 1! He was such a sweet and gentle character, then he left and we don't have any context about why and how that happened and okay that's fine, honestly i figured there was a lot going on back then and he was 18, old enough to have some sense but hey we've all done dumb things we've regretted at 18 lol
So I still had my rose tinted glasses on.
But now that I've sat and thought about it..
WHY was he so nonchalant during their reunion??
He's always been decent at a poker face but not *that* good. Presumably he still has strong feelings for Sooae and they hadn't seen each other in 10 YEARS and have had NO CLOSURE AROUND THIS. So why the hell was he so unbothered?? Maybe it was all an act and he really has developed a good poker face, maybe he didn't care as much in the moment and feelings started sprouting again, I don't know. But what annoys me is he didn't even TRY to talk to her again until it was necessary, and when he did it was like nothing happened?? I just could not see S1 Eunhyeok doing this!!
Anyway, I'm still open to his redemption but he needs to GROVEL, i need him to suffer at least a little.. And if Dohwa ends up with Sooae then EVEN BETTER!
Damn this is messy messy loool i kinda love it though is that bad? Lololol
I was so worried Eun-hyuk cheated, omg he better not have… but he has some explaining to do.
Sigh Dohwa.. I still support you the most you sweet cinnamon roll (▰˘◡˘▰) but i know you wont be endgame.. its fine ill take you!! ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Goddamit I've caught up again AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I'm actually so tempted to read the novel...
You can read it here! https://rainofsnow.com/the-counts-secret-maid/#chapter
I really really hate the ex boyfriend like really really
BUT
Does anyone else want to read a story that follows the start of their relationship? They're dynamic seemed genuinely so sweet and interesting, he's so much more expressive and honest about his feelings and also I have such a love of delinquentXquiet character types ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Obviously not including how horrible he becomes later but a story that's follows what their future could have been!!
I just kinda find the main couple in this uhhh boring LOL

I started reading this on a whim and then dropped it because i thought the romance was a bit childish for my taste, cut to a few weeks later I start watching a kdrama because of and actor being in it and notice one of the storylines is weirdly familiar! It was THIS!!
And now I'm back because I have had my heart ripped out from Ha Min and Han So Mang in the Kdrama and I need to see them again.... Wish me luck :(
I am back from Ha Mins flower and i am CRYIIING ;-;
I definitely prefer the original story to the drama version - why did they make Somang a teacher in that it made it so creepy lolol - but both versions have me devastated ;-;
I think the only thing I preferred about the drama was that a lot of the key moments and interactions between the characters, particularily between Jaemin and his family/Somang, were kept isolated from the rest of the cast. I thought it was a bit odd that the friends were always in every big scene like give my boy some space, it started feeling a bit weird that they kept overhearing such personal moments!! Anyway, I still super recommend this but bring tissues and do NOT listen to 'In Time' by O3ohn while reading Hamin's flower ╥﹏╥
