Definitely not written as well as the original. At first the MC just comes across as awful, but as the story unfolds the whole situation just becomes really sad. It's one of those scenarios where someone will eventually get their heart broken, and none of the people involved are actually bad people. That being said... I was definitely rooting for the other guy, which made it even more depressing.
Normally it doesn't bother me this much, but the uke isn't just small, he is deliberately meant to look like a child. It's giving "but she's 3000 years old."

There are TONS of mangakas and Webtoon artists especially who do manly x manly. When they do a cute uke, they don't repeatedly emphasize how child-like they are, or have the other characters mistake them for a child. It's weird.
Yeahh another reason why I just skip their sex scene honestly.... But thank god the later it becomes in the story the more mature he look as well (still can't stomach their sex scene) but they're so gosh darn cute! I love them being a couple even if I didn't like how it look like

The way this was translated makes it difficult to understand in English.
