The issue with this option is that he has seen 1st hand how strong Heesu's feelings are, this isn't just a crush, Heesu is fully aware Chanyoung is straight and has stayed alongside him anyways. If it was a trivial thing, Heesu would've gave up as soon as he found out Chanyoung was straight. In other words, he doesn't know how long he'd have had to hurt Heesu and drag him along before Heesu gave up, IF he ever did without that clear rejection. He had been planning to hurt him as long as it took, this is literally the definition of leading someone on.
Everything about what Chanyoung decided to do was wrong, he literally went out of his way to show his girlfriends off to Heesu and ignore him when he got them to hurt him.
