A lot of people are bothered by age gap because there's naturally a power imbalance between a minor and adult, so consent is always an issue. As an adult, I just don't ever see myself liking a minor in a romantical sense, because I see them as a child or you know, a younger sibling. idk...This manga in particular i think is ambiguous, since I think the girl is 15 years old? she just started high school. He was already 15/16 when she was just born... but he respects her boundaries and hasn't really crossed it so... idk. lol. I personally don't mind age gaps if both individuals are adults. I just don't think that it's ok to normalize a relationship w/ a minor and adult, since a lot of teenagers would romanticize it and think that's okay, and maybe even intentionally seek that type of relationship. So this becomes dangerous for the minor.
