Was anyone else a little surprised that Dan didn’t offer Jaekyung water or anything? I mean… whatever I guess, but if someone I cared about was in my care and complaining about having a headache and everything, I would get them water and maybe a pain killer if they take them (I doubt Jaekyung takes pain killers, but at least water!).

Jaekyung still can’t admit his weakness. Is he stupid? He’s 26. It’s like he views his body as a car, knowing it will depreciate but keeping it shiny to fool himself and others. The internal issues are something he just has to suffer through to keep going. He thinks he can suffer forever. But his shoulder will fail him. “I have no problem throwing a punch or two”? One or two punches? Seriously?! That is your dominate arm, my dude. It’s fine. They’ll just put him in the room next to Dan’s granny and Dan can take care both of them.

I get it, I really do, but when you’re reading yaoi (and a silly one like this), are we really going to rage about morals? It’s already so far from reality and, in this fictional universe, Garam and Jaehyuk have agreed to this weird relationship. When Garam stops the relationship, Jaehyuk stops touching him. We know Jaehyuk is not violent, he’s just stupid and has no boundaries. Garam is feisty and smart. He knows how to make Jaehyuk stop, and they do level with each other whenever one gets serious. It’s been like this forever, each character is operating exactly as expected.
Dan needs to grow a backbone, Jaekyung needs to be humbled. It’s a simple story, really. I was told main characters need something they’re obsessed with to make the story interesting. Jaekyung is obsessed with winning, Dan is obsessed with… Jaekyung? The side characters and circumstances keep things interesting. Can’t wait to see the next chapter!
