he didn’t know about APD. a rotten personality and a mental illness are not the same. LW tells him about it later in the novel.
To be fair, top hides it pretty well. He fakes emotions like other people and can't empathize. He's like the top in rivalry, except worse because no one tries to teach him how to process emotions.

Has anyone been love-bombed by someone you don’t have a romantic interest in? It’s super awkward and makes you feel trapped. Like if you were to reject it, you’d be the bad person. And Heesung is making sure to give all the guys stuff so that they support the relationship between Dan and Heesung. This is just another way for Dan to be coerced into another unequal relationship.

Awww Heesung seems sweet, and it also seems like (according to the comment “always falling in and out of love”) he’s wishy-washy but not a bad person. He’s still famous and probably a brat, but I can totally see him visiting Dan’s grandma after taking Dan out and her being smitten. I’m sure Dan won’t like him because he’s still dealing with his internalized homophobia, but Jaekyung… I feel like this could be dangerous for Dan if Jaekyung gets too jealous.
In my imagination, Jaekyung would drag Dan off so that he can dominate him, and Heesung follows and sees and rescues Dan. Then finds out about the deal, accuses Jaekyung of modern day slavery and buys Dan his freedom. Then Jaekyung loses a fight after Dan is taken from him. Heesung would probably lose interest after a while, give Dan a recommendation and he and Jaekyung would meet again somehow. Dan would feel compelled to say something, Jaekyung would be an ass, and they would split up again. Then Park Namwook would call Dan and beg him to help Jaekyung again, and Dan would be like “Just this once…” and Jaekyung would be so down that Dan couldn’t help but feel bad. But Jaekyung would still be an ass and Dan would stand up for himself for the first time and try to leave… But Jaekyung would try to stop him but fail. Then Dan’s grandma would die and Jaekyung would be contacted because he was the one paying for her treatments, so he’d run to the hospital to find Dan and then… a heart to heart.

i read the novel (just vol 1) today guys! it ended happily. ml is a crazy mofo for sure but honestly he’s kinda hilarious later when he goes batsh*t crazy. there’s a volume 2, but i think i’m content to end it at volume 1 because it feels complete enough there.
