i read the novel (just vol 1) today guys! it ended happily. ml is a crazy mofo for sure but honestly he’s kinda hilarious later when he goes batsh*t crazy. there’s a volume 2, but i think i’m content to end it at volume 1 because it feels complete enough there.

he didn’t know about APD. a rotten personality and a mental illness are not the same. LW tells him about it later in the novel.
To be fair, top hides it pretty well. He fakes emotions like other people and can't empathize. He's like the top in rivalry, except worse because no one tries to teach him how to process emotions.

Has anyone been love-bombed by someone you don’t have a romantic interest in? It’s super awkward and makes you feel trapped. Like if you were to reject it, you’d be the bad person. And Heesung is making sure to give all the guys stuff so that they support the relationship between Dan and Heesung. This is just another way for Dan to be coerced into another unequal relationship.

We see him being in though in chapter 32. Communicating must not be a good skill yet.

Plus, when Dan suddenly hugged him in a moment of sexual passion, Jaekyung looked like he didn’t expect it and seemed really unhappy about it. Maybe he purposely chases his partners that are used for his jinx purposes away after a time, but Dan isn’t showing any signs of leaving him
you might be onto something there. i did kinda think the face might mean “haven’t you had enough?” but i wasn’t sure how that would make sense. then again, we’ve continuously seen jaekyung pushing dan to his limits, trying to get a rise out of him (ex. sparring). whether it’s to chase him away or his twisted way of helping dan grow a backbone, i’m not sure. i definitely don’t think he’s tired of dan, but i do think he’s being purposefully mean to some end

I went back and looked at the beginning chapters. It looks like JK was paying men for sex to deal with his jinx, but didn't want any emotional attachments, which is why he dumped the guy in the beginning. Jk told him "you make it sound like we were actually dating- you're just a whore." He got Dan to sleep with him for $5000, so he considered him the same. He's only using Dan to satisfy his jinx. That much is fact. But there's something about Dan that attracts him, and feelings are beginning to come into play. Jk is falling for Dan. He WANTS to keep that emotional distance, which is why he keeps calling him a whore. Torturing Dan in the car didn't work out at all the way he had planned. JK had no intention of having sex with Dan, but then they got caught in a traffic jam and things went sideways
