So, basically, all of the male figures Jaekyung grew up with had anger issues an encouraged violence as both a defense and release. The only soft figures - his mom and the old woman - commanded respect in their presence only. I’m sure the jinx part is gonna be super effed up, but we can’t already gather that all of his male relationships are either made from wary respect or violent challenge. Despite being gay, he fights with every man in different ways because that’s the only kind of relationship he’s had with men. Softness is reserved for women, particularly older women, while every man is a potential threat to Jaekyung’s existence.
My theory is that Jaekyung has always treated Dan like another man, but got confused when Dan took on feminine roles and softness (kisses) was introduced. When he’s with Dan he sees a man but feels feminine energy, so his responses are confused and he gets triggered randomly. He wants to fight and yell, but also keep and hold. He hasn’t done any therapy to work through any of that, so of course he’s a mess.

Sure darling. Eungyo suffers from sexual frustration for so long that he fears he will commit a crime, so he starts staying at a hotel, losing sleep, losing his mind, losing control and touching Sunwoo while he’s sleeping, rather than just outright telling Sunwoo that he wants to live together. His brother was right all along. Before he confesses, he forces Sunwoo’s lawyer friend to write a contract that basically makes Sunwoo forfeit all human rights to him lol. When asked, Sunwoo finds nothing wrong with it. Then they finally FINALLY have $3x again… and again. Eungyo is finally happy and is able to sleep and smile but he’s still an ass most of the time. I haven’t finished the novel but I had to get through the slow burn and feel relieved because, while funny, I also suffered for far too long.
So Eungyo picked pride before pleasure. Forfeit all human rights? And nothing's wrong? What?!?! Too much of an airhead.

Yup, a long story that I didn’t read part two of because part one was emotionally exhausting enough. I still refused to get on the second rollercoaster. But at least I finished this one. Well… I think I’ll read the next two episodes (already saw the Korean ones), but once he goes back, I’m out.

I dunno guys, Jaekyung acts on misguided instincts, so I think he’s just gonna scoop him up, kidnap him, and lock him up in his penthouse. I would be so annoyed if they just have sex next chapter, because that would be typical but would also just be a waste. I don’t wanna see them do it again. I want Jaekyung to take care of Dan. I want him to call a cleaning service to remove all alcohol from his penthouse before he gets there, so that it’s clean when they arrive, and then I want him to hire a therapist or someone to watch Dan while he’s at the gym, and I want him to hire a chef to feed Dan…
Mind you, Dan will hate anything Jaekyung does, so he’s going to fight everything. It doesn’t matter if Jaekyung is nice or mean, because he doesn’t want any of it, but he needs help and he’s not willing to help himself. I bet those are two full bags of booze…

How does someone who’s emotionally and physically unstable help themselves? Fixing isn’t really the right word (that’s the word Jaekyung used cuz he’s dumb), because there’s no “fixed” baseline, but Dan needs help to stabilize his mental wellbeing. That’s quite literally the reason for therapy and doctors.
Anyway, I don’t expect anything, I’m just wishing for it.

Oh yes, if this wasn’t fiction, I would certainly be an anti-fan, but because I know it is, I need to see this nonsense twisted into something with possibility. But you’re right, maybe jaekyung will have foresight (ha!) and just rent another apartment for the both of them to avoid retraumatizing Dan. And then I want to see his gosh darn backstory.
