Well I can’t say I hated it but I won’t say it’s good lol. Obviously the first reason being the weird need for Dev to force himself on Rowell. I was just confused. Did Dev think, “He’ll fall in love with me and give me power,” or something? I dunno, it was just a clumsy excuse to get them “at it” in my opinion.
Second, pairing everyone up like that at the end is both nauseating (on many levels) and so unnecessary. I get the desire to tie up loose ends, but to resolve it all with “romance” is so cringey, especially given the master/slave dynamic. I guess I could read more but I doubt there is any retribution for enslaving people. Seems like the Pels just got richer and the tiny rebel group was immediately vanquished lol.
At the end, it’s cute I guess. Overwhelmingly, however, it feels indulgent on behalf of the racists.
I hate when people like the Major’s hyung say stuff like, “You imprisoned me with your expectations.” Excuse me? You imprisoned yourself. Who told you to be fake? Who told you that you had to be his father figure? I do kinda feel for that guy but, maybe it’s the manhwa and I’d like his novel version better, but he deserves his future betrayal. I feel like either the author or the artist (maybe both) favor Eddie. His design and prevalence makes me wonder if the story was originally going to be from his perspective.

There are still some loose ends and someone said that it doesn't end where the novel does, so I'm excited to read it... When a translation comes out. You have no idea how much effort I put into screen shot translations of each bubble up to chapter 55, BUT I NEEDED TO KNOW!

Everyone’s asking who the MCs are… who’s on the cover? Whose thoughts do we hear? It’s Mugyeong. The mc was Mugyeong and the ml was Yukio but Yukio is supposedly dead. We have to go to the past and see other side perspectives, of which their are a few other pairings whose sides we see. Mugyeong is the present mc, scar guy and older brother are the suspected villains, and Inu is the secondary mc in present. In the past, we get more inner thoughts from Mugyeong.
