Im not justifying what ao did in anyway it was wrong and he should have been hones with kou. But i also think that mikuni wouldn't have devoted himself to kou like ao did through all the rehab or give suport to kou when he needed it, it was thanks to ao that kou could wistand his loss of memory and painful wounds, not only was ao in love with kou but also shared the bond of best fiends almost like family only thing i hate is kous attitude befor and after he met mikuni always cheating on ao and his inability to choose without getting swayed by every little thing he is the kind of uke i hate the most
