Kind of a turn-off (plot-wise) when the guy who has never fallen in love in all his life falls in love in just 3 extremely anticimatic chapters.

I think falling in love is sometimes just like that, though.. Sometimes all it takes is just taking notice of someone, thinking about them, then..voila! You've got the beginnings of love, or at least attraction. That's just my thought on it, though, hehe. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

It's not the first time for him. His discussion with the girl showed he did in the past and he became something he didn't like. Besides, the fact he didn't fall in love in one chapter is uncommon for yaoi.
No, you're actually very wrong. He's a side character in Give me Love! and was in love with the female protagonist for years, however she came to love somebody else ^^. So that makes both guys in this manga bi.
