Dear my Teacher is actually a long running original doujinshi series, so you won't see an official publication, since it was self published to begin with. The mangaka might have less time to work on it now if they've got a professional serial, though. (I'm just speculating, however)
I hope they haven't abandoned it. I really liked that series.
They've done a couple spinoffs with secondary characters, so I don't think they've abandoned it, but it being a hobby project makes it a little more tenuous.

She got stabbed to death on-screen my friend. Even if you assume Sato just injured her, why would she do that? That would seriously endanger her happy life with Shio, and as such she would not do that.
I think Sato couldn't trust her words when she said that she wouldn't tell anyone. When she asked her if she still loved her, even though she has a psychotic aunt, she hesitated instead of telling her how she felt, even though she said whe will accept everything.
