When the bf’s father found out he was gay, he beat up his son and broke his arm. The uke here, and the red head’s boyfriend are friends. But at home, the uke’s father warned him to stay away from gay people, including his friend, or he’d get hurt the same way.
So there’s some really fun internalized homophobia/trauma going on there.
It looks like they were experimenting on the kids. And the blonde guy is like the best of the best. So they use his blood/plasma/body/whatever to help synthesize drugs. They’re still experimenting on him as well.
Heesung is kinda friends with him. He’s not nice to him, and was using him to get by. They were closer when they were younger, but after Heesung’s father threatened him, I’m sure he stopped being his friend for a while. He only became a cruel person because he realized love was conditional, and vowed to never trust anyone.
