From the spoilers in the comment section, it doesn't seem to be the case, but anyone else thought the stalker had some identity disorder / double personality? It seems very unlikely, but I came up with this theory after he's show talking to the other asshole and in one of the shots the other chair is empty. Then again, might just be the author's mistake

I agree. Definitely multiple personalities. I think more than one. The author purposely left that chair empty so we’d know. Also, the stalker told MC there were others being stalked. One victim for each personality?
After meeting the stalker’s other personality, the mc now realizes just how mentally disturbed his stalker is. His friend complained about being stalked and it was the same guy....different personality.

The ending is sadder than the anime one's. I already bawled my eyes out watching the last episode of the anime (excuse me, the idea of having a harem of good looking guys and all the good memories of making each other grow as better people and you all end up feeling like a inseparable group does make me sad, yes) so, whoever is reading this, can you imagine reaction to the manga? In the anime, I had a pleasant surprise. I smiled through the tears. Here, I had hopes it would be the same... Boy, was I wrong. I reached the last pages, saw the gods appearing behind her and I had hopes. "Maybe they really came back for her and she'll remember... right?" No. It's pain and sadness. I reached the last page and thought "that was it?"
The ending might have been kinda open - I'd like to think the anime ending happened after that, but. BUT. The pain from the stab to my heart is still hurting. Deep down, I don't think what that ending was trying to convey. Whyyy ...
Ok, to whoever is reading this, congrats for ending this wall of text that was my rant. Thanks for your attention. Today we learned, don't underestimate mangas with bishounens on the cover otome game based, because otome games have bad endings and sometimes author feel more like basing the story on those, instead of harem end or one of the most popular routes' good end.

I mean, that idol she was a fan of? I got such a heavy emphasis on the earlier chapters that I expected the story to take a different turn. Same about the idol she disliked so much. Her internal emotional development throughout the story dealing with the dilema feels like it got skipped over. Then, again, this story skips a lot of things. Doesn't mean I'll stop reading.
I'm getting kinda distracted from the main story because the duchess is so hot... Like wow... Please step on me, strong lady.
Also, her husband is adorable. They make such a good pair! I hope they can give Leslie the parental love she has never gotten.

The plot is a mess. We don't get any explanation as to why the father would sell his wife, unless we have to assume that because he is a lowly baron, he needed money, but even so... Wasn't he described as honest right before that? The fuck. Then, the wife comes back. I understand she wanting to go back to her child, but why would she stay with the man who sold her? Just because she is benevolent? But then, shouldn't she take away her son from the one who had been beating him for three years? She has no reason to trust him or stay. If we suppose it's because of the patriarchy and she wouldn't have someone to take care of her, then I would really like an explanation as to how she came back. Isn't the aristocrat who bought her powerful? How come he didn't search for her? Not even going to comment in how the father reacted when she was back. He has negative braincells.

i had the exact same thoughts (lol?) but it is too soon for us to judge. It seemed more like a prologue than anything. I don't have high expectations, but we ought to wait at least 3 to 5 (if feeling generous) to decide if it is worth it of it is pure horse shit. xoxo hun
Um yeah because that's what backstories are for. We never get a whole explanation right upfront, ESPECIALLY in stories like this, so why is it people are always ASKING for one? Now that is the REAL 'mess'. Besides I can easily guess what most likely happened. The family probably fell on hard times BECAUSE the father was honest (I mean an aristocrat buying a woman to sleep with him? How does that hint that aristocrats deal with poor but honest people decently?). The woman was sold to the aristocrat which lead to the father drinking (more?) heavily and which, in turn, lead to his paranoia. The woman probably returned because she was pregnant and thus kicked out of the house by the aristocrat's wife. Seems pretty simple to me. Ktbn.
....That makes me so uncomfortable. But I really admire the artist for coming up with those ideas and being able to put them on paper. The character designs, the gore parts... Even if I don't want to look, I can't help appreciating the effort.
