We all have to face it that the best decision is to have Yui back to his papa. The dad begged Jiu to take care of Yui for the mean time and he already set the expectations that this will happen. It's not like he suddenly said he will get Yui. Jiu giving little info abt Jiu and avoiding to much contact makes it look like he want to unconsciously make the dad forget abt Yui. Yui will have to adjust and miss Kasei and Jiu but that's part of it. She has to be with her dad and her dad have to take responsibility of her. How could he possibly face her wife if he just left Yui like that. Jiu also need to let go of Yui so he can also concentrate on his new relationship with Kasei. He has to fix his lose ends and though unfair he have to accept the reality. And oh the comments say something bad will happen I hope not with the dad. Yui already lost his mom so it is v sad if she will lose dad too even though theyre not close,
I just don't agree with this. Saying that Yui's dad taking back custody is the best decision is kind of tone deaf imo because what about Yui's feelings..? Her father is her father biologically, sure, but that doesn't mean much, especially when he's essentially just abandoned her for years with the excuse of "I can't provide her a worry free life" as if that makes up for offloading a child onto your brother in law(?). It should be up to Yui in the end and deciding that the father is the best choice because he's been working for it is just so... Wrong. I don't think Jiu wants Yui to forget about her dad, I think it's more that he can't trust her dad to take care of her since he failed to step up when she needed him the most. Especially if he wants custody of her to bring her to America that would be uprooting her to an insane degree and it'd be hard imo to justify it
I wanna add stuff to the discussion here.
Yui mom and dad divorced before her death. With implications how the mom was taking care of Yui mainly I feel. From the first volume of the manga there is other mention of this dad figure too, dad has literally no contact(not calling, not facetimes, not even sending letter/postcards) with Yui.
There is the lines of how Jiu updates the dad about Yui's life with very minimum details though that adds to the dad's case, but I wanna be hopeful that Jiu has some reason at all for the hostility towards the dad(probably insider knowledgeof the divorce Yui can't understand, my delusions). Then Jiu also mentions that dad had come begging him to take in Yui since he couldn't afford it, which is something I dislike but somewhat can understand. However this I believe is countred with Jiu to take care of his niece, had to quit his own job and change his entire path in life(does starting your own business being a detective for hire seem lucrative, got to be something to afford a live-in housekeeper though). This dad shifted the responsibility of caring for his child onto someone else, a someone else who was in no place to even care for a young child grieving the loss of thier mother. This absolutely had impacts on Yui who has abandonment issues(bro she just wished everyone was together ;-;). I would not trust this dad with sole custody and to take Yui across the world in an environment that is entirely unfamiliar in the culture and language.
Also for a side note there's the human vs beastman differences to deal with.
The thing is tho is that her dad DID abandon her.
He left her alone during the passing of her mother and basically relinquished all responsibility onto his brother-in-law just 'cause he "felt" like he couldn't raise his own child. He didn't even *attempt* to take care of her before dumping her onto another family member. Jiu probably doesn't think the father is mature enough to even take care or himself, let alone a child, which is why he keeps the updates to a minimum. He's a beastman that wants nothing but the best for the child he's been raising like his own. The child his beloved sister left behind.
From what I gather the dad has never even sent any sort of help over to Jiu to raise Yui. He's been doing it on his own till Kaisei came into their lives. Food, clothing, shelter and even a caretaker for when his job takes him away from the office-- that has all been solely provided by Jiu.
You can't expect people to be OK with a random person-- even if he is her father-- just showing up out of the blue to uproot 3 people who have formed their own familial bond with each other.
And as a child who had to spend their life being handed off back and forth between households I often wish-- even as a 31 yo now-- that someone had had the kindness in their heart to permanently take me in and give me the stability I needed. Instead, all my memories are full of having to pack my shit and move across state every year or two 'cause my parents couldn't get their shit together.
Whose to say that Yui's father won't do the same if his lil business in America fails and he "feels" like he can't raise her anymore. She's already got a stable home with Jiu and Kaisei and she loves them both very dearly and wants the 3 of them to stay together. Uprooting her from the people she knows just to take her halfway across the world would only hurt her in the long run.
If there's a person you'll hate here should not be the ML but the bully. ML is going through something yet he is being tormented when he is being rude/straightforward to MC. Tbh, I will be more understanding coz at least he is just not kind to anyone who shows him kindness. It means I am special coz he is only nice to me. Anyway, that bully will again torment MC good thing ML is to the rescue(take note he has an amnesia that time). He will eventually get what he deserves via MLs doing tho it is not shown, that was when MC and the bully reencountered during happy times already (side stories)
Yeonwoo is really one of the most handsome omegas for me.
One of my fave parts here is when he met Kim Shin's friends one after another, they had a bit of a crush on him. But seeing how Yeonwoo builds a wall around himself and ofc being scared of Kim Shin It's kinda like their romance ended even before it started.
Why are the comments saying he has twins? LOL. He was just just handed a 4d ultasound right? Just as so you guys know, 4d ultrasound is clearer than the normal 2d or even 3d. You could even see facial features, even a cleft if the baby has one. I had that when I was pregnant. So if there are twins gosh it wouldve been said by the doctor or you'll see 2 babies in the ultrasound pic.
no it's not. OKAY I'll bite your delulu and let's say the other twin is hiding, they cant hide the heartbeat. ALSO the doctor wouldve already said twins. remember this, NO doctor will hide that fact and if he's 3 months and above it's something you cant hide inside you. Even if this is omega
verse that speculation is nonsense.
Lmfaoooo relax it’s super rare yeah but it’s happened. Hidden twins are basically unheard of after 20 weeks but 12 weeks? Yeah it’s possible, look it up. Esp if heartbeats sync up. ‘Even if this is omegaverse that speculation is nonsense’ you clearly haven’t seen how much creative license omegaverse authors take lol
Im relaxed. Im just you know, stating facts. hehe. But what we read is kinda straightforward so the speculations doesnt make sense. Instead of theorising abt twins, what about making theories on why MC prefers white hair's pheromones despite it being obvious that he has the prosecutor's baby. Is it about his feelings? maybe they bonded? destined mates?
So I think Andy just likes Minjae physically, his face, like he's his fan, but he probably loves or fell in love with Minjae's friend. So when his friend finally confessed or maybe something happened to them that's probably the reason why he kept that affair going coz he just couldnt let go of Minjae too bec he feels like missing an opportunity of having a hot bf if he went with the friend and dump Minjae.Am I right? Coz he doesnt look like he's just a slut sleeping around he just kept the two guys with him althroughout
Based on the novel and if I remember correctly, Andy already in fwb with the friend before going out with Minjae. And when they're going out, Andy couldn't stop the fwb bc he feels sorry for the friend, he felt like he left him alone, that's why he still slept with the friend. But after Minjae left him, Andy realized his feeling, that he actually like Minjae, and so the stalking happen.
Ohhhhhhh thanks! I dont remember getting to that part of the novel when I read it before I think my last read was the baseball game with the oldies.
Omg that sux. If that is the case plus what Minjae just related about his side of the story then all three of them are effed up each other huh. All their actions against each other bit them in the ass huh. But imo Minjae got the most damage. I mean yea he just went out with Andy out of spite but it's not like he mistreated him. He just didnt love him that much. But bec of Andy, he lost his friend, the emotional damage, plus also his football career!
But he got Heechan now. So yea Andy just sit there quietly overseas coz our boy got an upgrade
That part of the novel is here >> https://booktoki466.com/novel/5650148?stx=Half+of+me&book=%EC%99%84%EA%B2%B0%EC%86%8C%EC%84%A4 << near at the end, hopefully you can click it, my understanding of that part was like what I wrote above, since I read it using mtl
Yea! I was reading at this site too. Then I stopped bec I got hooked on my other novels also other works of SamK's too! Oh, btw read Miracle Illusion here too! Issa must read

Yes, iirc Taekin loves baking, and he intended to continue it. Btw he's actually Heechan fan, he always watching Heechan from afar, also his feeling for Minjae is something like respect and not love. He also enjoyed being around Heechan friends later on, even though he's a bit confused how it could end up like this.
And ofc Heechan managed to beat the pedo into pulp :)
Minjae is willing to wait until Heechan has similar feeling like him. And at the extras ofc they ended up doing it. Ohhh there's also extra about their high school days

If I remember correctly, in the novel Yeonwoo's current emotions isn't being afraid of Shin but it's more like he is embarrassed of his situation. Like the state he is in rn and how useless of him depending in Shin at this moment. He is still also confused at the awakened alpha situation and him causing it. There's alot of things on his mind and being afraid of Shin isnt one of it so please don't say our Shinnie is a red flag.
where did you read the novel? Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
Link please?(e ³ ̄)づ

Many, many thanks!!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
I almost had a stroke reading this....weird usually Korean mtl is decent but this is worse
Are you like blaming the site? Bro they just literally copy pasted the korean novel there. If your MTL is incomprehensible, blame whatever mtl youre using and how youre using your logic to interpret it. I just used safari and google translate and I understood it just fine.
dam bro chile out, yeah I'm blaming the mtl extension since most circulating mtl use Korean specific machines
Im chill. Just stating facts yk coz it doesnt sound like yer blaming the MTL lmao
