a hint towards the twist i noticed while rereading:
the stick lian points at lau's eye in ch 25 is likely the same iron awl that belonged to the 5th family (yajin & mali). u can compare the two in ch 48. since the iron awl is traditionally used to carve the turtle shell in their ritual, its drawing a parallel to how lian is the one carving the tattoo onto xin's back. kinda crazy that she's using it to eat fruit tho LMAO

okay so there's a lot of people shitting on how the author draws jaekyung's ears but i believe this is intentional on the authors part. There's a condition called cauliflower ears (which usually happens to fighters) caused by excess pressure on the inside of your ears, which causes fluid to build up inside them resulting in what jaekyung's ears look like. theres a lot to criticize about this story but how the author draws jaekyung's ears isn't one of them.
