Also, there could still be some people that have not read the sequel yet and are enjoying the story as is, but I agree, the “cheating” trope out of everything is kind of over the top.

I've heard the phrase "it's just fiction" so many times that I can't even be bothered to correct you. The reality you live in right now was and is influenced by fiction more than you can imagine. Not even talking about how easy fiction can influence a kid, as 10-14 years is the age range of the audience for such content as BL that includes rape/abuse etc. My problem is not with people reading this content or with authors writing about it; my problems is when people start romanticizing it, like most do. Not portraying it accurately, in a realistic way, showing the trauma and struggles that come afterwards. It goes as far as making it into a fetish.
I'm sure that most girls that enjoy rape in BL are the same people that are disgusted by rape in shoujo/straight stories. But since it's BL, it's fine, they get off of it. Omegaverse it's problematic on it's own but anyway. Now do tell me, are you a straight woman that gets turned on by sex in yaoi? so I know if it makes sense for me to even type this out.
Just because in OV rape is normalized and a mainstream idea, that doesn't mean I can't be upset by it, does it?
