I think the main thing Kyuu is trying to get across is if its not something you like, then move on and let others enjoy what they like. I think we can all agree that rape is wrong in real life and we would never condone it, but it doesn't change the fact that its a trope popular in yaoi fiction, cause that's what it is - "fiction", its a place where we can push the boundaries of what is and is not acceptable because its "not real". Just cause we don't condone it in real life, doesn't mean we can't enjoy reading it in fiction. Take many horror manga for example, just cause there is a lot of death and gore - much of it is written in a very disturbing and "unacceptable in real life" way, many people still enjoy it. I personally don't like reading that stuff so I know to immediately avoid anything with a horror tag associated with it. Why would I waste my time reading it when I know I'm not gonna like it and then waste my time posting a negative comment about how murder is wrong, when we clearly know its wrong in real life.
I definitely agree with you too in that people have every right to their opinion - go ahead, its your time your wasting and no one else's when you could be reading something you actually enjoy. I just think what Kyuu is just trying to say is that the comments nowadays are just being bombarded with negative comments on a manga with a trope certain people know they have a problem with. But at this point, the large amount of negative comments is ruining the experience of those who actually enjoyed reading the manga, and who just want to talk about their enjoyment with others who had a similar experience with them. Its just a manga and shouldn't be taken so seriously (we all get that rape is wrong) but when that's all you read in the comment section, well it doesn't sound like FICTION can push any boundaries anymore without shaming the author and its readers, and therefore it shouldn't be enjoyed anymore - which is the whole point of fiction and reading in general.

I get the whole point but i think it’s wrong to label someone saying that they think this behavior of this characters is wrong as negativity. As long as the author is respected the story not bashed not insulted, there’s not real issue. I personally can come across a story and while reading it think that this specific event is wrong, do it hate the story ? Do I feel like I wasted some time? Not at all... people don’t just decide to come and bash all mangas like that I just don’t understand why is it hard to accept that not everybody will criticize a story positively without necessarily hating on it. Btw I get your point about horror movies and it’s pretty interesting but while watching a horror movie with many deaths I’m not necessarily interested in the death itself or the « gore » in itself more the story as a whole and I still consider tragic that they die, I actually love stories wich depicts rape as horrible act as it is and the purpose is not to show rape as something to fantasize about but in the opposite hate it to say briefly. Stories like this even though it’s fiction romanticizes rape and show it as something not taken seriously. It’s unfortunate btw that this represents a majority of stories in yaoi but when I think about the amount of people who actually enjoys it and fantasize about that I just can’t comprehend it. it’s a real psychological thing and yea it shouldn’t be taken lightly.
