No one is saying Chanwoo doesn't have a right to reject MD, but MD was clearly trying to distance himself so maybe Chanwoo could have respected that too instead of you know, accepting a sub competition.

Chanwoo's mentality couldn't handle what was happening, thus, he used the safe word. So you see, based on other romance tropes that I've encountered, md could've opened chanwoo's eyes in a much better way. Making him jealous is one of many ways but this is far from forgivable.
Chanwoo is confused that's why he doesn't understand that he already had feelings for md but still chose to ignore it. And in addition to this, he was involved in an abusive relationship.
Md seemed aware of what's happening with chanwoo, they're both at fault for they're suffering but that doesn't mean that they're both wrong. It's only md who's wrong. Why did he have to add fuel to the fire tho?
He shouldn't have messed with chanwoo's mental state in this situation.

How is Chanwoo wrong? He isn't doing fine mentally, he got used and abused, even if MD stopped, he still hurt Chanwoo more. All that Chanwoo needs is less pain, and that's all MD gave him.

He still hurt Chanwoo. Even if he did stop, he started it. To get Chanwoo to acknowledge his feelings, he hurt Chanwoo more, even though Chanwoo probably still had trauma from getting used and abused. He doesn't deserve more pain.

He wasn't in the right mental state, he was just used and abused, and hadn't recovered properly yet. MD was just playing with Chanwoo's feelings to get him to reliase how he felt, that's not okay. He was only going to introduce him to ask him for permission, what else could he do?

The fact that he let his pride get the best of him AGAIN and that got him into a shitty situation is more of a Chanwoo issue than this particular situation issue.

It's not like he's psychic and knows he's constantly getting into shitty situation, most people wouldn't be aware until they were actually put into that position.

You're expecting MD to act like a partner by caring about Chanwoo's feeling but then also respect that he doesn't want to be in a relationship and act professionally and not get emotional.
