I think the reason why everything feels confusing is due to the translation. I believe ycy was only chosen as the wolf den enforcer after the incident with his hyung and siblings, then he was sent out to that place to train but he didnt know it was the training meant for the title of the clan’s killer. My memory is pretty hazy but I couldnt recall if ycy was the one who realised it was him all along who did all the killings/attacks or if it was his father who told him. Correct me if Im wrong. I only rmrbr he had this long ass convo with his dad who was really sick back then and I rmrbr feeling furious at his dad bc he remained heartless and indifferent towards ycy. I felt really bad for him.
