reading the novel, it actually saddened me that weiwei's parents had such a sad ending in their world. they fought due to weiwei's disappearance and then divorced, and their family house was abandoned. i still wish they stuck together thru that hard time of weiwei's disappearance but ig the author made sure that weiwei had nothing important to look after back in his world so that he can focus in his family with lian jue.
it just saddens me, just sharing.

Just to add more details, Weiwei's disappearance/death was actually the final straw for her mum to divorce his dad. We saw in the early chapters that they seem like a perfect family but when Weiwei reminisced how his father was kinda controlling. Behind closed doors they argue alot and his dad doesnt even know that Jasmine is his Mom's fave flowers. Btw his dad was the one who insisted for him to go on a date with the roses pheromone guy. So it was like his mom was just enduring all this time (probably bec of Weiwei) and since his accident happened bec dad insisted him to meet the guy that probably was the final straw. Im not sure how exact this will be in the next chapters but My best suggestion is to wait 2-4 chapters before reading again and prepare alot of tissues bec the intensity of crying from the time Weiwei reminisces to their reunion for me was like from sniffing to tears rolling my cheek, then sobbing to ugly crying.
Ohhh, well that makes it less sad/relieving for the separation between the parents. I thought they were a loving couple or something and that his disappearance was the only reason they separated. Now I only have to be sad about mc not being able to see his mom anymore ╥﹏╥
Yes tbh the author was really good making this as climax of the story. For isekai stories where MC "suddenly" transmigated you would feel sorry for the people they left behind. Sometimes they dont even touch that topic anymore. But in here he had a chance to see what happened to him after he was gone and bec he saw what happened to them (parents, ex-date, friends) from the time he was not around, it made him relieved that like him they all have second chances and it all happened when he died/disappeared. So he doesnt have lingering regrets leaving them suddenly and now living a good life in another world. Oh some spoiler he was able to get his cellphone from his orig world so at least when he gets back he has pictures of his loved ones. This is really really good. One of the best I read.
