ong bruh literally last night i had a nightmare that xin died & lau was alone for the rest of his life (this story is that serious for me).

also imo i think the head family is planning this whole thing for their ritual thingy, so them not giving a shit makes sense. as for why lau couldn't stay to watch xin... man i dont even know lmao. they tried to write it off as "even if someone came they might be too fast to be caught" or some shit which makes no sense. this is one of the few plotholes i could find. But the author's written everything else so brilliantly im will to overlook it just this once┗( T﹏T )┛

idk they vaguely mentioned something about falling asleep & feeling hazy so imma choose to believe in my goat gyujik and say that the intruder sets up incense whenever they come to make xin fall asleep. also another thing, if the head family is the one behind this, they have cameras every where so they'll know not to send wei whenever lau is there ig. (im coping so hard, my goat author can't have overlooked this)

also smth i just realized that makes me even more sad: even if lau manages to save xin from whatever tf is going on with the ritual, xin's prolly still gonna die from the sheer amount of poison thats been tattooed in his back (or maybe he'll call 911 or whatever the chinese equivalent is & save xin in time, i have this theory cuz of smth that happens in a few chs from now but no spoilers shhhh)
