The origin of the swastika is an ancient symbol common in many cultures, whose name derives from the Sanskrit "svastika," meaning "well-being," "good fortune," or "prosperity." This symbol, representing cyclicity, movement, and prosperity, has been used since prehistoric times in Eurasia and the Americas, particularly in religious and ornamental contexts. However, in the 20th century, Nazism adopted it as a symbol of racial superiority, reversing its meaning and associating it with tyranny.
Absolutely! When I go to Japan I always go to shrines and get talisman! They always have the swastika symbol on them and I have to explain it to several people that Nazism adopted it and it’s not what it means else wear. Almost all of the talisman always has it! Got prosperity, good fortune, and well being!
for the umpteenth time I reread this manga.
There are some things that the manga doesn't answer.
At the beginning of the first chapter Katsushige visits the Koyabashi family grave (Akihiko's surname is Kobayashi) which I find quite strange because Akihiko has no family.
another point is the boy at the restaurant in volume 3 chapter 14. He talks about his grandmother having vampire ancestors.
Who is this boy? Why is he watching Moronatsu and Masakado?
The story starts with Katsushige visiting Akihiko's grave and then we have a cut to the 60's I believe, that's where most of the story happens, at the end Akihiko says he wanted to leave his human side behind and that's why the grave exists. And the boy in the last chapter talking about his vampire ancestor is probably Katsushige's many times great grandson (remember his daughter was human and died of old age)
