I think it's the writer's child since his "impotence" was cured because he was able to write (or better said co-write) Utsubora. But he probably knows this "cure" is only temporary, so he ends his own life before falling back in the same "impotence" phase he was throughout the whole story. That child is probably an analogy to a one last "creation" (like Utsubora) he leaves behind before "retiring forever".

Hello sorry for jumping in, but if you guys don't mind please enlighten me about aki & sakura relationship. Are they lovers? Are they mere fans that's happened to obsessed for the same author? Or sakura sees aki as her love interest, whom her whole being is filled with only Mizorogi. That's why she approached him on that party, to make a way for her beloved one?

I've read it quite sometime ago so I'm not sure about the names. I do think the girl who killed herself, who is also the writer of Utsubora was filled with Mizorogi, the other girl who is the main character of this story was in love (or adored, or had other really strong feelings) for the writer girl so she only started meeting with Mizorogi to win over, or help somehow the writer girl.
