HOWEVER (no excusing that behavior) the fact that Euihyun will go out of his way to beat the shit out of taeju when he’s acting up is so justified in this freaky ass relationship. I think they’re both weirdos who enjoy some kind of sadistic/masochistic play with each other. Even if they don’t say it outright. Love that Euihyun was able to get rid of that creepy asshole…i really do. Additionally, i think they’re kinda meant to be. while taeju is clearly from a loving home he grew up in weird gangster circumstances that caused him to only trust/love himself & become self-obsessed to the point of hurting others around him (not talking about gangster activities per se). euihyun straight up grew in an awful home environment and a kid was dumped on him when he was 20. then he had to take over his father’s debt when he went missing? of course you’re gonna end up weird if you’re put into a dire circumstance like that. he hated himself so desperately and couldn’t see any other way out than death. I’m glad that they found each other. It was a weird road getting to where they got. I think in reality, if something like this happened, there would be a very small chance of positive resolution ending in being in a relationship. but this is an omegaverse porn comic…soooo…not exactly going for reality here. I think we could’ve gone without the rape from taeju. like. light assault would’ve been way more acceptable. it’s just kind of hard getting over that. But if Euihyun isn’t haunted by it then neither am i. who am i to say this wholly unrealistic, impossible relationship is weird? i think that taeju owning up to 100% of his bullshit and fully committing himself to treating Euihyun is what really sold me on him as a character. Well…that and his freaky ass sex tactics. Idk i just like a freak in bed. Desperately need to bring back my thug/gangster characters now… Sigh… It’s always back to this. ever since i learned about gangs it’s always been this…sighhhhhh… same with omegaverse.

i kinda despise chinese to english translations bc they always end up sounding so off … Regardless, from what i pieced together here, i enjoyed the story. i was actually a little surprised to hear Qi BoYan has schizophrenia, but in hindsight it was foreshadowed sm. i’m usually good at picking that up, but i think the translations were throwing me off. i’m glad they ended up actually happy together and the idiocy went out the window with fuckass Fang whatever and Ren Ran. I still kinda don’t understand what Qi BoYan and Ren Ran were talking about on that phone call, but my head hurts…. Can’t think… just spent two hours reading this for no reason… I’m SAD i didn’t see any cawk or balls. so sad. But …yah… Man chinese artists are so talented at making gorgeous men. Qi BoYan is…. yah… very pretty. i love to see a gorgeous top that’s secretly evil… (in the bedroom, i mean). give me one chapter of the assistants fucking though, cause i know they did… behind the scenes.
i hesitantly rated it 5 stars bc it was… cute. There’s a lot of weird stuff happening (such as never-ending miscommunication and misunderstandings), but the couple was 0% toxic and i love that!!! a huge difference from the author’s current manhwa… lord. anyway seonghoon is sexy as fuck i love his thick ass eyebrows…. i think i just love big eyebrows as a fellow big eyebrow-haver. I think this author simply has pacing issues. 41 chapters of build up build up build up to what? Kind of nothing? Them fucking (kinda)? Plus, what exactly got resolved with Hoin??? I get it. The dude was clearly in love with Seoyoo. Seoyoo is one of the densest mfs ever. I think he’s just too traumatized by all of his shitty exes to realize any positive energy going towards him. But good god was it baffling to read OBVIOUS signs pointing to ppl being in love with him. Not only that, but not being able to figure out that he’d been in love with Seonghoon for quite a while… Man. His exes fucked him up bad. Honestly, he reminds me of my mom. LMAO. She met my shitty dad, spent like 13 years with him, had a miscarriage, then had me the year after. Divorced when i was 9. Thank fuck. He really fucked her up bad. Me too, unfortunately. ANYWAY. No more info dumping from me. I think they’re similar in a lot of ways and i find him to be a very sympathetic, strong, and cute character. He really is strong as fuck. To go through so much bullshit and come out of it fairly normal? that’s honestly one of the better aspects of this manhwa. He’s like a real person. He’s dense as shit, emotionally strong, but a broken person on the inside. And his emotional recovery with the only person that’s treated him so well? Gotta love that for him.
i read the whole thing. i recall reading sadistic beauty many years ago. I had to have been a junior in high school so my memory is really hazy about it now. I always wanted a side story with these two. But… yeah, this is not what i wanted. Ending was exactly how i expected it to be. Just so garbage. The art is very appealing, but the story feels like it was written by a 12 year old who has never been in a relationship before.
