i believe majority of us were young so we didn't know any better. i reread every story i thought was good but then ended up changing my rating. we were just starving back then
This one was traumatizing, I still remember people warning others not to read this one. For a while it even became kind of like the "boku no pico" meme/thing. But yeah, overall everyone agrees this story is just bad and the onlt thing people like about it is that they kind of went their ways even if it is kind of an open ending.
Fargo brought out LIAI right when omegaverse was becoming popular and people were okay with tolerating slight non-con and stuff when almost all the omegaverse stories back then were choke full of non-con. Also, people got attached to Hyesung bc his story is truly bad and Dojun does redeem himself or rather he wasn't truly a bad person to begin with. Then his family was all elite alphas but as opposed to snobby elitist families we saw in other stories this family was warm despite them being all alphas.
I think LIAI : sperstar would have been a perfect story but then Fargo dragged Hyesung's mom into it and kind of spoiled it then backtracked like it did not happen.
TLDR : Fargo's stories do mostly suck ass but they managed to hit some nails right on the head and it stuck. Hyesung is largely the reason most of the LIAI fandom exists when everyone started out hating his guts but grew to love him to bits by the end. We just wanted him to be happy. LIAI also had good supporting characters. Haesoo was one, people also started out by hating his guts but we were happy when he ended up wih the older bro and adopted a kid. It was what was lacking in most omegaverse stories back then. A blended family in a way or the gay family of omegaverse stories.
