I thought the same, then I remembered the fact that she is powerless in that household, with no money of her own to speak of. She'll have to build business relationships because she can't inherit the business of the house she currently resides in because women are incapable or some patriarchal bullshit. While I insinctively thought was a little reckless, I realised it was a necessary sacrifice to make.
