I think the dukes were in the audience and, even thought they didn' let them in, that Giwool tried to harm mc. Mc was protected by Jaeyong, who is allowed to be there because he is a king, while ml took care of the other duke. But yes, I agree it wasn't clear enough, I was a bit confused at first.
