Like let’s spice up the NOW. like I understand the point of the flashbacks are to show why Ian is attached and could possibly be with tj because their relationship isn’t entirely just toxic but it would be healthier for Ian to move on which is what he’s always wanted THEREFOR can we do something with Jo it feels like he’s always just there doing absolutely fuck all

The author already said many answers to their relationship will be in S2. S2 main focus is their flashbacks and parallel it to present time and with bits of Jo actions (both seasons). Which many readers keep dismissing.
I think the reason you feel like it's off is because the wait is long 10 days for 1 chapter and the chapters tend to be short. When really and currently the story has a good pacing.
