I honestly feel really sorry for him. Sure, his past behavior was awful and completely inexcusable—hurting others for no reason is never right. But after learning about the trauma he went through as a child, it gave me a better understanding of why he turned out that way. He was only six when he experienced both verbal and physical abuse, and that kind of treatment deeply shapes a person. Children are fragile during their formative years and need love, care, and guidance from adults—but sadly, he never received that from his own parents.
It's great that he turned to boxing—maybe as a way to cope with his emotions, to let out his anger and pain. It seems like he’s hoping that by succeeding, he can earn enough to bring his mother back. I think deep down, this is when he craves love and affection the most.
Still, he did have a choice—to be kind or to act out—and unfortunately, he chose the wrong path. Anyway, these are my thoughts (─.─||)
