I understand some readers don’t want a reception arc because they just feel that Jaekyung is not redeemable, but that’s just going to be the plot. There’s nothing we can do.
I just want Dan to be happy. Even if he ends up with Jaekyung I hope he can find happiness somehow with someone. Hopefully Jaekyung can learn how to make Dan happy. （￣へ￣）
I’ve had this on my “to be read” pile for AGES. Omg I started it yesterday and caught up just now. This plot is so well written. The characters are so well developed, and the world building is amazing. I was drawn in so fast. If anyone has any similar fantasy BL with toxic semes please let me know. I’ve been going through some lists but this one is 10/10 perfect in my opinion.

jj finally told leo about how he was feeling and what leo did that hurt his feelings. leo acknowledged his mistakes and promised to be a better boyfriend. jj apologized for forcing leo to have sex with him. leo decided to forgive him. they’re going to have some time apart (hopefully this allows them both to grow their longing for one another) and jj made clear he isn’t interested in peter, and told leo about his feelings of jealousy. Leo could do better with opening up about his emotions, JJ could do better about communicating his feelings. Leo is dumb but honestly I feel like JJ is really fucking this all up.
From the starting i am kind of on Leo's side as J.J suddenly left without any explanations...but atleast J.J is truly feeling remorseful for breaking up with Leo in mid seasons which affected his performances, that's why he accepted Leo's invitation and maybe thought leo will ask for giving their relationship a second chance...but Leo..? He just wants his lucky charm back as his career is falling...what about J.J..? He just assumed he hated him but still selfishly asked him to be fwb...

The plot is so interesting to me, and the characters are interesting too, but they’re all kind of scummy and I think that’s the point? The MC is a pervert who takes his anger out on everyone, the brother is immature and impulsive, and the love interest is manipulative and is blackmailing the MC?? Low key the characters keep pissing me off, but i’m too invested in the plot to drop it now.
This is what makes it so good. No one is a good person but shades of grey. I thought the author did a great job of writing characters you could root for while still being scarred individuals.
I’m all caught up now, and I agree. They each have their own flaws and I feel like they’re all very dynamic personalities and I feel like it suits the story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the story ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
