I dunno about a lot of people talking badly about the younger brother, but it seems to me that he is the innocent type that blurts out stupid things during the moment out of sheer naiveté. I mean, just look at his reaction to a kiss and groping. Furthermore, it is implied he is shielded by his parents from his supposedly delinquent older brother (plausibly because older brother was chased out by intolerant parental attitudes towards homosexuality). The other theory, that younger bro has unhealthy feelings towards the older brother doesn't really fit the style namely because it is a relatively smaller trope and that I haven't experience Ogawa Chise and Co. to use the ultra-intense incest trope often enough to associate them with out. Granted, they have used some pretty wild tropes before (Caste Heaven omg), but this incest sort I'm not so sure about.
