Bro all stories where a grown adult dates the kid they’ve raised, or in this case been called mom by, are weird and pedophelic yeah even if he gets hard at the idea of being in the moms shoes it’s ok for people to be weirded out that he specifically gets hard when the kid says the word mom

MC never see ML as the child he raised, he see him as ML's dad who MC has unrequited feeling with.
The "Mom" called was him imagining himself as ML's mom position, means MC become ML's dad lover.

You don’t have to mansplain the “mom” to me I said that in my reply, still doesn’t mean people aren’t allowed to be weirded out by someone getting hard at a child’s word.. no matter the reasoning behind it. For a lot of people, including me, an age gap where they meet when one is a toddler does seem a bit pedophelic. I think you're still getting super hung up about the fact that the words came from a child to the point it's overshadowing your ability to think about anything else, like what about the fact that it still makes him hard when the kid is an adult? Wouldn't a pedophile be exclusively attracted to children? There's more to the narrative than just "he was attracted to the words of a child", it was that being called mom by the child of the man that he loved made him fantasize about him having sex with the child's father. It's a weird series of hoops to jump through and weird to have child involvement at all I'll admit (I'm not a particular fan of such stories), but I wouldn't go so far as to call it pedophilic. It's just weird.

Did you read my last sentence? I literally said whether it be the author or the character there are at LEAST pedophelic undertones. That’s a fact whenever there’s a child shown in an age gap story. It’s really no hoops to jump through at all, it’s an objective thing that he got hard at the words of a child. The hoops being jumped through are you guys trying to defend it. I’m aware of the context. That doesn’t mean the context completely excuses the matter. Yes, he never got hard when just with the child. He only got hard when in front of the dad. So he’s not a pedophile, obviously. But I’m not saying he is. I’ve never said he was. I was defending the side of people who may have seen him in that way, because it’s not a “lack of media literacy” like you’ve said.

I would agree if this were a story where he had raised the child to adulthood or was a significant part of their life, then that would be child grooming and pedophilic behavior, but it's suggested that he looked after him a handful of times and then left and cut contact completely. Even when they met again the kid himself didn't make him hard (although it seemed like this was resolved once he let go of his feelings for the dad, but still). I think this story is more akin to those where they're trying to have sex with a child in the next room or getting frisky when a child is near them, it's inappropriate but not technically pedophilic. IMO I don't feel significant age gap stories with the age gap being the only thing are pedophilic either so long as they are both adults, because then there are literally no children involved so it can't be pedophilic.

I haven’t completely read the story so I won’t comment on the first things you said, but l agree that if they’re adults with an age gap it’s completely fine, but only if they meet as adults. Authors who make them meet as children at all are definitely weird, even if in the story the characters aren’t
