Considering Misaki´s journey through all the story I´ve enjoyed his process on accepting his love for Usagi-san (from the beggining till this point you can see him overcoming his shyness and being very caring and more open minded). So from my point of view I loved this chapter because we can see his growth and the little details such as a snow fight between usagi and misaki, showing us a really sweet and beautiful relationship. Therefore I don´t think this is a pointless chapter. So when the storm has to come, it will come.
I have always thought that when someone kisses you after you throw up or cleans you up when you´re all messed up the love is real (very common on some yaoi´s)
