Well tbh it is, this could've been resolved wayyyy earlier had they talked instead of fucked or the author could've went into the route of ml actually doing something instead of waiting around but no... MC's the one moving instead yes, they communicated, but I don't think that communication would've been enough to resolve MC's anxieties especially if we're talking about it realistically? It just felt bland and a "here you go damn" communication, ML should've been on his knees or at least desperate as he explained about it but nah
