Predictable plot, red head and ML were childhood friends, they fell in love, something happened and they misunderstood each other then they broke up.
Cue new love interest, now the ML has to figure out whether to mend the broken past with the childhood friend or forget it and move on with the new love interest.
But imma stay for the smut
