LoL.... so is the woman named Devon really a traitorous bitch? and will the guy named Isaac finally be killed by Kinard? also is the guy named Owen a.k.a the Crown Prince's(?) uncle the mastermind behind the tragedies 10 years ago?
(Minor spoilers) Devon is a queen. She is doing her best to protect all her friends. Especially Lou. Unfortunately, her father and her cousin, Durant, are snakes. Every little move she makes is being watched. She doesn’t fear her death but the loved ones around her. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t lash her tongue out to anyone who needs a good scolding. Regardless if they are friends or foes. I’ve read up to the current raws (116). Isaac hasn’t come back into the picture yet. Mostly Kinard and Yesing snooping around sketchy nobles. Owens and his allies are using the search for Durant’s new wife, as a means to ramp up their plans. Since there will be more gatherings/ parties to search for the new empress. They can use that as a cover up. Owen did half-heartily confess in chapter 61, that he killed Kinard’s aunt (Seen in chapter one). Owen is for sure behind Judith's death because Devon hates him. She did help with the investigation from the tragedy from ten years ago. She could tell her father cleaned some of his tracks off. Durant is planning something and his side piece kinda feeding Kinard some info. Still unsure of who Durant’s side piece is an ally of, but he seems to be looking out for himself mostly. I don’t think Durant is a bad guy but he is selfish (So far). He was the one who warned Raman to come home right before Judith was killed. Unfortunately, he only knew something sketchy was going on so that was all he could do to help. There isn’t a novel so that’s all the info out so far. This season is a build up to season three/ four where it'll be a showdown for the throne. Durant is really the wildcard between Owen and Kinard winning.
