Coming back to this story after 4 years and realized just how toxic this story is lmao. I have deep love and appreciation for souichi, in my opinion, he's a really solid character, but is sad to see how his background story and present struggles didn't get any real development, he just gets r*ped, harassed and villainized constantly. Yeah, he treats Morinaga poorly sometimes (well fucking deserved, btw, fuck you morinaga), but he constantly gets shitted on just for feeling confused and scared. The author forgets that he struggles with internalized homophobia and trauma, and then decides to get him rap*d by the man he considers his friend?? I absolutely hate Morinaga's character for this exact reason, HE PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH AND THAT MAKES ME SAD, he had a good backstory, the man was groomed by someone he trusted and shamed for his sexuality BUT THEN HE GOES AND DOES THAT TO THE PERSON HE "LOVES"??? WHY??? Absolute nonsense. It's really a shame. Morinaga could've given souichi's character a lot of positive development if only he knew how to keep his dick in his pants. You're not the fucking victim here!! Stop fucking crying dude!!
Thank you! I used to love this manga when I was around my 20s to early-30s, but now by my mid-30s to now, I've grown out of this manga. I got so tired of the continuation with zero development, like, I'm astounded that there's a 15th volume. Like, why?!
